Lesson learned

Mr Quinn, This wonderful man was a counselor at Saratoga Catholic while my three children, (Mark, Melissa and Amy Shaver,)attended in the early 90s. He was the coach for both of my daughters softball team, they loved him. One day while watching their game I commented to him that he was hard on them and he needed to give more praise and less criticism. He laughed and in his usual manner said "I don't know how to do that."So a few days latter I copied a page with 50 ways to say Good Job,I gave it to my girls, they waited till his office was vacant they put these copies all over his desk, chair, wall and pictures. The following game as he stood by the base he reached in his back pocket and pulled out one of these copies and in his usual lovable laughable manner said " number 19" smiled and put the paper back into his back pocket. We all laughed! We loved him, his dedication,spirit, humor, humility and ability to bring out the best in everyone! You will be missed Mr. Quinn! God Bless, Betsy Flynn
