Condolence: How I wish we could have been with you on Friday. I have rarely known any one who fully embraced life and enjoyed it at the depth John did. He has been a lively presence for me from the summer he lived at "Mooreland" doing civil engineering for the expansion of 29S. I will never forget his VMI graduation and our subsequent 60+ years of political debate. He was a conservative with a conscience grounded in Christian caring.
I am hoping to be with many of you Christmas Eve and to share wonderful John stories.
