Obituary for Spencer James Perry

Spencer James Perry of Deland, FL went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2017 at the age of 82 years old.
A memorial service will be held at Open Bible Baptist Church on Saturday, April 1st at 2:00 p.m.
Spencer was born in Sparr, FL to Evangeline and Curtis Perry on April 28th, 1934. He married Audrey Elaine Ramsey on June 23rd, 1972 in Titusville, FL. He worked as a carpenter and forest ranger before becoming a civil engineer for the FL Department of Transportation where he worked for 38 years.
Spencer is preceded in death by his mother, father and two brothers, Don and Curtis Jr.
Spencer is survived by his spouse Audrey, daughter Stephanie (Jill), son and daughter-in-law Spencer Jr. (Jack) and Jenny, and grandchildren Isaac Curtis and Megan Abigail.
Memorials may be given to The Salvation Army of DeLand, in lieu of flowers.
The family of Spencer will remember him as a servant of the Lord, loving husband, patient father and wonderful grandpa. He enjoyed nothing more than being in nature, working with his hands and spending time with his family. The Sandhill Cranes in the neighborhood will greatly miss him, too.
