Obituary for Imogene H. Powell

Imogene H.  Powell
Imogene H. Powell of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 10, 2017. She was born on February 17, 1927 in Clendenin, West Virginia the daughter of the late Edgar and Hester (Jared) Hall. She moved to Daytona Beach after graduating from Marshall University to pursue a teaching career with the Volusia County Schools. After her retirement from teaching, she owned and operated the Tanglewood Mobile Estates in Port Orange until her death.

Imogene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach for over 40 years, and was always very dedicated in helping others and keeping faith in her Lord and Savior. Surly, the Lord is glad and rejoicing that one of his lambs has come home.

After her retirement, Imogene enjoyed traveling including many trips to places around the world, and when ever she could, to her place in Gatlinburg Tennessee.

She is survived by her grandson William, loving Cousin June, and nieces Susan, Jennifer and Judy including her many friends at the First Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be Monday January 16th at 10:00 AM from the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach with Pastor Paul Dillow officiating, burial will follow in Daytona Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange.
