Obituary for Barbara Leigh Patterson-Porter

Barbara Leigh Patterson-Porter, 52, passed away on January 5, 2017, at Florida Hospital Flagler, Palm Coast, Florida, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on March 11, 1964, Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Larry R. Patterson, and is survived by her husband, James Porter, her daughter, Lauren Elyse Davis (Brian A. Davis), her granddaughter, Vanessa Skye Nixon, her mother, Virginia Belford Hosea (James Hosea), her brother, Christopher R. Williams (Landis Williams), her step-father, Robert K. Williams, her aunts, Susan Belford McBall, Cynthia Belford Waymegwance, Felicity Belford Boyer, her uncle, James Patterson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barbara graduated from Milton High School in 1982, became an LPN and later a RN, and worked in the field of nursing for more than thirty years, which was her passion. She was most recently employed by Apex Home Healthcare Services and Ambient Homecare Pharmacy. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers, patients and many others who were touched by her kindness and compassion. Barbara also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dachshunds.

A Memorial Service will be held in Barbara’s honor on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 11:00 am at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
