Raymond "Ray" Rushing
Raymond “Ray” Rushing, 72, of Daytona Beach, passed away on August 20, 2016 at his residence. A Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday August 26, 2016 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday August 27, 2016 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
Ray was born on November 7, 1943 in Miami, Florida to Kenneth and Edna Rushing. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Cuban Crisis. In 1981 he moved to this area from Flint, Michigan.
Ray was the proud owner of “Ray’s Appliance Service, Inc.” for 30 years in Daytona Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria of 50 years; son, Ty (Carrie) of Greenville, SC; brother, Robert “Smiley” Rushing; sisters, Dimple Landry and Margie Rushing; and two grandchildren, James Pearce and Caitlyn Pearce.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harry.
